🔒 Short version: Site CliniQ runs entirely on your server. We never collect, store, or share your site's content or visitor data. The only data that optionally leaves your server is error messages sent to Anthropic's Claude API when you enable AI diagnosis - and that's fully opt-in with your own API key.

1. Who We Are

2. What Data We Collect

We collect different data depending on how you interact with us:

  • Website visitors (sitecliniq.com): Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referrer). We may use cookies for analytics. No personally identifiable information is collected beyond what your browser sends automatically.
  • Plugin users: The Site CliniQ plugin operates entirely on your own WordPress server. We do not receive, collect, or store any data from your WordPress site unless you explicitly configure an external integration.
  • Customers (paid plans): Name, email address, and billing information collected through Freemius (our payment processor). We do not store credit card numbers.
  • Contact form submissions: Name, email, and message content when you contact us.

3. AI Diagnosis & the Claude API

If you enable AI Error Diagnosis by providing your own Anthropic API key, the plugin sends your PHP error messages and plugin names to Anthropic's Claude API to generate plain-English explanations. This transmission happens between your server and Anthropic - not through our servers.

No personally identifiable visitor data is included in these API calls. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle this data: anthropic.com/privacy.

This feature is entirely opt-in. Without an API key, the plugin runs with zero data leaving your server.

4. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve Site CliniQ services
  • To process payments and manage your subscription
  • To respond to support requests and emails
  • To send product updates and important notices (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • To understand how our website is used (aggregate analytics only)

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Freemius - our payment and licensing platform. Freemius processes payments and manages subscriptions on our behalf.
  • Anthropic - only when you opt in to AI diagnosis using your own API key.
  • Service providers - hosting, analytics, and email providers who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
  • Legal requirements - when required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Cookies

Our website (sitecliniq.com) may use cookies for:

  • Session management (keeping you logged in)
  • Analytics (understanding how visitors use our site)
  • Preferences (remembering your settings)

The Site CliniQ WordPress plugin does not set any cookies on your public-facing website. Any cookies it sets are WordPress admin cookies only, visible to logged-in administrators.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide our services. Customer billing data is retained as required by financial regulations. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing hello@sitecliniq.com.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data

Site CliniQ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Our website uses HTTPS. Payments are processed by Freemius using PCI-compliant infrastructure. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
